About Rivington School direct

 Welcome to Rivington School Direct

Rivington School Direct is an alliance of schools in the Bolton area working together in conjunction with Manchester Metropolitan University to deliver Initial Teacher Training (ITT) to degree holders. The qualification gained is a secondary PGCE from Manchester Metropolitan University. Trainees will also spend time at University working with tutors and their subject groups on topics such as pedagogy, behaviour management and professional studies. We currently offer 22 different subjects across nine schools in Bolton.
