Rivi fm teams up with the new Rivi studios
In Autumn 2007, Rivi fm moved from the old studio to a new studio complex within the same building but in a new studio, offering better facilities for broadcasting. We have teamed up with Rivi studios to offer state of the art, audiovisual recording studios. These new studios will support the very latest technology in video recording, live studio work and VT editing.
Rivi studios are proud of its connections with the local community and especially its primary schools. Over the next year the studios will host groups of pupils from the local primary schools to experience a day recording and working in the studios. Working as a team they will write, produce and deliver a short piece to camera, this will be recorded and given to each pupil as a record of the day at Rivi studio.
In addition to this the studio will provide opportunities to the pupils and staff of Rivington and Blackrod High School in developing the media courses, which are currently on offer.
New courses are planned for 2008 and will offer creative drama script writing for use in the radio or television media; Radio presentation skills alongside video camera skills and VT editing, all combined with audiovisual technical skills. These high level courses will offer our students the insight into working within the broadcasting industry.
