The Jenner Mills Library at Upper School
We provide a learning environment which encourages all students to strive towards high standards of personal achievement.
Situated in the heart of the school, the Jenner Mills Library is your gateway to a wealth of resources - fiction, information books, journals, magazines, posters, leaflets, as well as access to 24 fully networked computers with black and white printer attached. The Library is open from 8.30am to 4pm every day.
Students in Years 8 and 9 visit the library on a regular basis with their English teacher and follow a structured programme to enhance their learning skills. During their study periods Sixth Form students can use the Library to access to a broad range of information sources, including up-to-date text books, online resources and subject specific journals.
Students in Years 8-11 can borrow 2 books for 3 weeks, and can renew books when required. Students in Years 12 &13 can borrow up to 4 books for 3 weeks. Students in Years 12 and 13 can join the library at the University of Bolton. Please see Library Staff for further details.
Both libraries host a range of activities and events throughout the academic year ranging from Book Fairs, Author Visits, Reading Consultants, Homework Clubs to Scrabble Clubs.
