Drama

The Drama department at Rivington & Blackrod High School strives to give all students, regardless of age, race, gender, ethnic origin or academic ability, a multi-sensory and educational experience which will provide them with skills for life. 

In lessons pupils will experience a variety of theatre styles and genres and will use Drama skills to access many areas of the curriculum, through our engaging Schemes of Work across the Key Stages.  Along with this, the department will reinforce key skills in literacy, numeracy, citizenship, as well as teamwork, communication and cooperation through the devising of Drama.

The experienced staff in our Drama department are committed to allow pupils of all ages, gender, ethnic origin and ability to access the curriculum and to give them an opportunity to achieve.  Our Schemes of Work engage pupils and allow them develop as confident individuals with skills for life.
