About us

  • Comprises a loosely-based team of RBHS parents from any part of the community, Year 7 to 13, and RBHS teachers from any discipline, inc Headmaster
  • Meets 5-6 times/year at RBHS Lower School (Albert St)
  • Quick-to-act and efficient nucleus of about 10 attending regularly
  • Organises 5 to 6 events a year, such as Family Fun Night, Craft and Plant Fairs, Entertainment/Talent Evening
  • Approx 35 full members
  • Principal function is fundraising for RBHS, e.g. recent lighting for the driveway, PA system, coursebooks and audiovisual materials

Secondary functions

  • liaising with local primary schools, focus on Year 6 moving to RBHS Year 7
  • pupil/parent involvement, up to Year 13
  • providing a bridge between RBHS and the community, particularly parents
  • serving as a voicebox for members views on RBHS, and for teachers explanations of relevant RBHS initiatives
  • presence at RBHS induction evenings

Gift Aid

  • monthly monetary donations to the School Association instead of, or as well as fundraising activities or contributions of personal time
  • anything from £2 upwards
