Extra-Curricular OFFER

At Rivington and Blackrod High School, we offer a wide range of activities beyond the classroom. Our extracurricular clubs give students opportunities to try something new, develop their interests, make friends and take an active part in school life.

All clubs are free to attend, and there is no need to sign up in advance. Students can simply come along and register with the member of staff running the activity.

Where and when do clubs take place?

Most clubs take place at Upper School, although some are held at Lower School and are marked (L) on the timetable. Year 7 students are welcome to attend any club.

Students attending a club at Upper School should arrive ready for a prompt 3.30pm start. Clubs usually finish at around 4.30pm, after which students should make their own way home. We recommend that Year 7 students walk to Upper School with other students attending the same club.

Students earn reward points for attending clubs, and we celebrate their participation in our half-termly reward assemblies.
