Celebrating Our Class of 2026

We were incredibly proud to celebrate with our Year 11 students as they received their GCSE results today.
After all their hard work and dedication throughout their time at Rivington & Blackrod, it was fantastic to see students opening their results and celebrating their achievements with friends, families and staff.
Among those celebrating was Abbie Slater, who achieved an impressive four grade 9s, four grade 8s and two grade 7s.
Izzy Jones also achieved an excellent set of results, securing three grade 9s, four grade 8s and three grade 7s.
Both Abbie and Izzy will continue their studies with us at Rivington & Blackrod Sixth Form in September.
Across the year group, our students are now preparing to take their next steps, whether that is continuing with us at Sixth Form, moving on to college or starting an apprenticeship or training.
Paul Roach, Executive Headteacher at Rivington & Blackrod High School and CEO of Leverhulme Church of England and Community Trust, said: “We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students at Rivington & Blackrod and everything they have achieved. Their results reflect the hard work and determination they have shown throughout their time with us.
