Shining a Light on DLD Day 2025

Monday, 20th October 2025

On Thursday, 16th October 2025, we marked the start of our DLD Day celebrations by lighting up the school to raise awareness and understanding of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). It was a powerful and meaningful gesture, symbolising our commitment to shining a light on such an important cause.

On Friday, 17th October 2025, our school was filled with colour and connection. The yard was beautifully decorated with ribbons and it was wonderful to see staff proudly wearing theirs in support. The atmosphere in the DLD Room was especially heart-warming, as our students welcomed visitors with coffee and cake, creating a lovely space for conversation and community.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise the event and to all who came along to show their support. It was a fantastic way to end the week, taking time to connect, raise awareness and celebrate our amazing young people.
