Year 10 Geography Fieldwork at Salford Quays

Our Year 10 geographers recently visited Salford Quays to complete their first piece of GCSE fieldwork.
Once an industrial dockland, Salford Quays has been transformed into a vibrant area of culture, business and leisure, making it an ideal case study for urban regeneration.
During the visit, students took part in a guided walk, carried out land use surveys, completed environmental quality assessments and spoke to members of the public to gather first-hand data.
The trip gave students the opportunity to develop key geographical skills in data collection, analysis and evaluation, while applying their learning outside the classroom.
A great start to their GCSE fieldwork journey, with plenty of valuable experience gained.
