Year 13 student wins Snap Your Town photography competition

In October 2021, the youth arts charity, Innit 4 Young People CIO, launched a nationwide 'Snap Your Town' competition online.

Head of Art and Photography, Mr Hussain, encouraged students to get involved by taking photos of their own town.

We're delighted to announce that our star Year 13 student, Charlie S, was selected as the winner thanks to his fantastic photography.

Charlie won a Nikon D3500 camera kit, professional mentoring and a signed photobook by David Stewart. He also won the opportunity to photograph the professional production of 'Innit' at The Lowry in Autumn 2023!

Acclaimed photographer David Stewart said, "This is an emotional response to it being 'my town'. You could read it as the virus is lurking over the town, everybody is indoors, and the red sky is the danger warning. But individuals can put their own stories into the meanings".
