You can also plan your route online with Transport for Greater Manchester's (TfGM) Route Explorer. Route Explorer is designed to make life easier for anyone who wants to make a journey across Greater Manchester. It shows all the direct bus services you can catch, where they depart, where the nearest bus stops are, and how they link up with trams and trains.
Once Route Explorer has found the start and endpoints of a direct journey, it links to an online bus timetable library, sending passengers to the timetable they need. The map shows the route and all the stops along the way, as well as nearby tram and rail stations.
Although it currently only searches for direct bus services, there are many ways to use Route Explorer to explore the bus network and identify opportunities to connect between other buses, trams and rail services.
