In September, we welcomed our new Year 7s for their first day of secondary school at RBHS. We were all incredibly excited to welcome them through the gates and it was a wonderful morning seeing so many proud parents wave their children in. Our Year 7s looked smart in their new uniforms and made an excellent first impression, displaying our core values of Respect, Belonging, Honesty, and Support from the start. It was also fantastic to see them reconnecting with new friends from summer school and familiar faces from primary school.

They started the year with transition week activities, including a welcoming assembly with Mrs Yates and Miss Aspinall, team-building workshops, and fun celebration activities with their 'Teams.' They even learned about our house figureheads, discovered which house they were joining, and proudly added their house badges to their blazers.

Elizabeth said, "I have been able to spread my wings and grow my confidence by meeting more people in the first week of school with all the different Team activities.” 

Year 7 has made a fantastic start at RBHS and we hope they enjoyed their first week as much as we did! Well done to all our students.
