Year 5 and 6 Open Evening

On Thursday, 19th September, we welcomed Year 5 and Year 6 students and their parents to our annual Open Evening. This event provided local families with the opportunity to explore RBHS and experience what life here could be like for their children. Each department hosted activities in classrooms, allowing prospective students to meet our staff and current students and participate in elements of our curriculum. From exciting experiments and flames in Science to a red carpet experience with famous faces in Drama, there was a wide range of engaging activities to get involved in.
We are incredibly proud of all our student volunteers who supported families with tours, shared their experiences of school life, and even led activities within departments. Special mention goes to our school choir, who sang beautifully during the Head of School talks and as families made their way down the school drive. The evening was filled with excitement and positivity, and it was fantastic to hear that our visitors had such a positive experience at Rivington and Blackrod High School.
