The deadline for ordering the new school skirt was 31st May 2025.
The school has now placed the order with the manufacturer for the skirts that were ordered by parents by the deadline.
The school has ordered an additional stock of skirts and these will be released for sale via the school online shop from 7th July onwards.
Whilst we are unable to guarantee availability of specific sizes for those parents who have not already placed an order, we are confident that we will have appropriate stock in place should parents wish to purchase a skirt but haven't yet done so.
Exchanges: the school will prioritise exchanges for those parents who placed orders prior to the 31st May deadline.
We are unable to guarantee exchanges for orders placed after 31st May but we will endeavour to provide these subject to stock availability.
Orders placed from 7th July will be available for collection in August.

Uniform Requirements from September 2025
From September 2025, students will have the option to wear plain full length black tailored trousers (not denim, slim, skinny or flared fit) or the optional new school skirt as detailed in our letter here. The existing skirt will no longer form part of our school uniform and cannot be worn from 1st September 2025.

All sizes come in a 22” length.
The 22” waist version is also available in a 20” length.
For reference the current school skirt is available in an 18” and 20” length version.
We have sampled a range of students across all year groups and can confirm that the size of the waists of new skirts match the fit of the existing skirts.
The new skirt features an elasticated, adjustable waist to comfortably accommodate students as they grow. In our sample trials we have found that using this elasticated band, the waist of skirts can be reduced in size by at least 1” without affecting the way the skirt hangs.
How to Purchase
The new school skirt will be available to purchase via the RBHS online shop from Monday, 7th April.
Orders for the school skirt are required by 31st May 2025 to allow the manufacturer to produce these ready for delivery to school in late July/early August 2025. School will contact parents when the skirts are available for collection.
The cost of the skirt is £29.95.
There are two options available:
- Purchase now – full payment taken at time of checkout
- Pay on collection - £1 payment per skirt taken at time of checkout with the remainder payable on collection of the skirt.
Both of the options above require payment by credit or debit card.
Please note that RBHS is a cashless school and should you select to ‘Pay on collection’, we can only accept payment via credit or debit card. We are unable to accept cash payments.
We recognise that not all parents have access to a credit or debit card and if you wish to purchase the skirt using cash, please email parentpay@rbhs.co.uk and we can arrange for payment to be made via the Paypoint in-store service.
The school is also able to offer extended payment plans to parents. If you require further information about this, please email parentpay@rbhs.co.uk.
Collection of Items
Parents will be contacted by email when the skirts are available for collection. We anticipate that this will be in early August. The school will publish a calendar of dates when parents can collect the skirt from the Upper School site. We recognise that parents may not be able to attend during the standard working week and we will take this into account, offering evening and weekend dates for collection.
Exchanges
We recognise that parents are purchasing the skirt online, rather than in store and students may change sizes between an order being placed in May and the delivery of the skirts in August.
School is ordering additional inventory of the skirts and will allow parents to exchange unworn skirts that still have the manufacturer’s tags in place, for a different size if required. (subject to availability). This offer will remain in place until 2nd September, 2025.
